Welcome to The Wood Collective. The terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to The Wood Collective.

These Terms of Service apply when you access our website, purchase products from us or otherwise use our online store and related services (the “Services”). Our online store is powered by Shopify.

By using our Services or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights or remedies you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Fair Trading Act 1986 or other applicable New Zealand law.

1. Using Our Website

You may use our website for lawful purposes and to browse or purchase our products.

You agree to provide accurate and current information when placing an order or creating an account and to keep any account credentials secure.

2. Our Products

We make reasonable efforts to describe and display our products accurately, including their dimensions, materials, features and appearance.

Colours and finishes shown on screen may vary slightly depending on your device, display settings and the natural characteristics of materials where applicable.

We may update our product range, descriptions or availability from time to time.

3. Orders

When you place an order, you are offering to purchase the products in your order at the price displayed at checkout.

We may decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where a product is unavailable, payment cannot be processed, we reasonably suspect fraud, or there has been a genuine pricing or listing error.

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will notify you and refund the amount paid for the cancelled order.

Returns, refunds and product issues are also subject to our Refund Policy and your rights under New Zealand law.

4. Prices and Payment

Unless otherwise stated, prices displayed on our website are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST.

Any applicable delivery charges or other charges will be clearly displayed before you complete your purchase. Our bookshelf range currently includes free delivery throughout New Zealand.

Prices, promotions and discounts may change from time to time. Changes will not affect orders already completed, except where permitted by law in relation to a genuine error.

By providing payment information, you confirm that you are authorised to use the selected payment method.

5. Shipping and Delivery

We deliver within New Zealand in accordance with the shipping information provided on our website.

Delivery timeframes are estimates and may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will nevertheless meet our obligations under applicable New Zealand consumer law.

6. Assembly and Installation

Where a product requires assembly or installation, you are responsible for following the instructions supplied with the product.

Products designed to be wall mounted must be securely installed in accordance with the supplied instructions before use.

If you are unsure about assembly or installation, please contact us before proceeding.

7. Consumer Guarantees

Our products are supplied subject to the guarantees and protections provided by applicable New Zealand consumer law.

Under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, products supplied to consumers must meet applicable guarantees including acceptable quality, fitness for purpose and matching their description.

If a product does not meet an applicable consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

Nothing in these Terms or any other policy on our website is intended to restrict those rights.

10. Shopify

Our online store is powered by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce technology used to operate the store.

Products purchased through The Wood Collective are sold by The Wood Collective, not Shopify.

We collect, use and disclose personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable New Zealand privacy law.

Some information is processed by Shopify and other service providers used to operate our online store.

12. Reviews and Feedback

If you voluntarily provide a product review, photograph, suggestion or other feedback to us, you give us permission to use that material for reasonable business and promotional purposes, subject to applicable law.

You must not knowingly submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, misleading or infringes another person's rights.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure information on our website is accurate.
